Sessions at the Hindi Zone Annual Conference of Sri Aurobindo Society
Date: October 6–7, 2018

On October 6–7, 2018, the Hindi Zone Annual Conference of Sri Aurobindo Society was organized by the Jaipur Branch. More than 300 members from various parts of India actively participated in the conference. Dr Sampadananda Mishra, Director—SAFIC, was invited to address the audience on various topics which included ‘the Greatness of Indian Culture’ and ‘The Renaissance of India’. These topics resonated well with the theme of the conference: ‘श्री अरबिंदो दर्शन एवं उनके आलोक में भारत और उसकी नीति’. The Zonal Society members play an important role in strengthening the organization and giving a thrust to the activities of the Society in different parts of the country. The conference ended with an open house, with questions asked by the participants which were also attended to by Dr Mishra along with Shri Kaivalya Smart.

Workshops for Students and Teachers of AuroSchools
Date: October 20 to 23, 2018
Venue: Chandigarh Branch, Chandigarh

Organized by the Chandigarh Branch of Sri Aurobindo Society, Dr Sampadananda Mishra, Director—SAFIC, facilitated two experiential workshops on topics related to Indian Culture, Sanskrit and Integral Education for the students and teachers of AuroSchools at Chandigarh and Patiala. The students were explained about the scientific nature of Sanskrit and the practical value of learning it. For the teachers an important topic addressed was ‘What It Means to Be a Teacher’. The teachers were explained how to teach their subjects in an innovative manner for achieving the true aim of education – helping the child to grow from within.
