From August 20 to 30, 2017, Sri Aurobindo Centre for Homeopathy (SACH) is organizing a workshop at Society House, Puducherry, for management of lifestyle diseases/illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol disorder or hypothyroidism. People prone to such diseases will get homoeopathy treatment along with auxiliary therapies including yoga, nutrition and diet.

Integral Education - ICIE

ICIE Workshops at AuroSchools in Bengaluru

The ICIE team of Shivakumar and C. N. Shanker visited the two AuroSchools in Bengaluru from May 29 to June 2, 2017, with the objective of understanding and contributing to the education imparted at these schools. They interacted with the teachers and staff, witnessed the functioning of the schools, and then conducted workshops on Integral Education.

Sri Aurobindo Society has a large number of branches and affiliated centres in India and abroad engaged in a variety of activities. Some of the programmes carried out at Noida Branch in July 2017 include Guru Purnima Celebrations, Talk under ‘Lifestyle’ series and other regular programmes such as Savitri Study Circle classes, meditation and Bhagavad Gita classes and Yoga sessions.

Sri Aurobindo Society has several branches and affiliated centres in India and abroad engaged in a vast array of activities. Some of the programmes carried out through July 2017 at Nairobi Centre at Kenya include 14th Anniversary of the Enshrinement of Sri Aurobindo’s Relics at the Sri Aurobindo Bhavan, Nairobi and distribution of booklets with teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.

SAFIC Various Programmes

In July and August 2017, Dr Sampadananda Mishra, Director, SAFIC attended and conducted several programmes in Puducherry, New Delhi and Gurgaon. The programmes spanned subjects such ancient Indian scriptures (including Vedas, Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, etc.) and importance and relevance of Sanskrit.

Integral Education - ICIE

Five-day Theatre Arts in Integral Education Camp

From July 3 to 7, 2017, a five-day ‘Theatre Arts in Integral Education Camp’ was held for Master Resource Persons of the Ministry of Education, Puducherry. Conducted by Ravi Shanker and Kiran – both practitioners in the field of Integral Education at Sri Aurobindo Society – 20 participants underwent a transcendental journey via this camp. It was held at three venues in Puducherry, namely, DSE Complex, Society Hall and SAS Sharanam Amphitheatre.

  • Darshan Days

    On these days, there is a collective meditation in the Ashram at 6 am. People can visit Sri Aurobindo's room on all the Darshan days and the Mother's room on every 21 February.

    Besides the mentioned Darshan Days, visit to the Mother’s room is allowed on 17 November and visit to Sri Aurobindo’s room is allowed on 5 December.

  • 1st January
    There is a collective meditation at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in the morning at 6 am along with music specially composed for this occasion.
