Training-cum-Study Camp on Yogasana and Pranayam

A 10-day Yogasana and Pranayam training-cum-study camp is being organized by SACH. The training sessions, conducted by Dr. Mohanrao Sarpate Guruji, will be held for an hour every morning (6.00 to 7.00 a.m.) from February 22 to March 3, 2018, at the Society House of Sri Aurobindo Society in Puducherry.

Spandana: A Week-long Sanskrit Intensive Workshop for Beginners

SAFIC is conducting a week-long intensive course in Sanskrit in which one would get an opportunity to come in contact with this beautiful language in a most natural way through songs, chanting, conversation, activities, games and presentations. SARVAM organized a day-long Sports Day for more than 400 students from all its 18 project villages on December 31, 2017. This and similar events are often conducted by SARVAM to make education holistic and fun and for the development of physical aspect along with the mental stimulation in school-going children.

Women’s Council Annual Seminar ‘Know Thyself’

The annual seminar of the Women’s Council of Sri Aurobindo Society is held every year from November 21 to 23, at the Society House in Puducherry. This year the theme of the seminar was ‘Know Thyself’ and it was attended by 45 persons, both women and men from different states across the country.

SAFIC Various Events – November & December 2017

Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, Director, SAFIC attended and conducted several programmes in Lucknow, Cuttack, Ayodhya and New Delhi through November and December, 2017. The events, among various others, ranged from addressing school students of Seth MR Jaipuria School in Lucknow to organizing a national seminar on ‘Future of Sanskrit’ jointly with Sri Sri University at the University’s premises in Cuttack to meeting the Mongolian Ambassador in New Delhi.

SIGNIFICANT DATES

  • Darshan Days

    On these days, there is a collective meditation in the Ashram at 6 am. People can visit Sri Aurobindo's room on all the Darshan days and the Mother's room on every 21 February.

    Besides the mentioned Darshan Days, visit to the Mother’s room is allowed on 17 November and visit to Sri Aurobindo’s room is allowed on 5 December.

  • 1st January
    There is a collective meditation at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in the morning at 6 am along with music specially composed for this occasion.
