Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry

JIPMER is an educational institute that imparts undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, a tertiary-care referral hospital, and an Institution of National Importance (an autonomous body), based at Puducherry (formerly Pondicherry), under the direct administration of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Institute of Palliative Medicine (IIPM), Calicut, Kerala

IIPM is an education, training and research centre for palliative care. The institute trains health-care professionals in palliative care and related medical disciplines. Through its connection with Calicut Medical College and other clinics, the institute supports thousands of patients per week. The evolving palliative care system of IIPM tries to address the problems of the incurably ill, bedridden and dying patients irrespective of the diagnosis, age or social class.
