The 22nd Annual State Conference Sri Aurobindo Society of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states was held on November 27 and 28 November, 2016, in Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh. Dr. R. D. Ravindran, the Chairman of Aravind Eye Care Systems, Madurai, was the Chief Guest. Sri Ravichandran Rajagopal, the Vice-Chairman of Vishnu Educational Institutions also participated in the conference. 

The theme of the conference was focused on issues of Health, Women and Youth. Dr. Ravindran spoke on how Dr. Govindappa Venkata Swamy moulded Aravind Eye Hospital from an 11-bedded clinic into an International Eye Care organization taking the guidance of Sri Aurobindo`s Yoga and how the spiritual values are practiced within the organization to keep it ever moving further. 

Dr. Yogesh Mohan, Dr. Debabrata Sahani, Dr. Venkatesh Palla and Dr. Saroja Prasad presented their views on various aspects of Integral health. Shri P. C. Swaroop, Smt B. Satya Vani, Shri YSVS Murthy and Smt V. Suneetha Sekhar spoke on various facets of Integral Yoga. Shri Koneru Venkateswara Rao  delivered the Shri Guru Pershad Memorial Lecture. Shri Srinivas Mulugu gave an inspiring lecture to the youth gathered from various colleges in Bhimavaram on the second day of the conference. A souvenir by the name ‘Aditi’ was released and it was well-received by all the participants because of its well-meaning content on the sadhana of Integral Yoga.

Shri P.C. Swaroop, the Chairman of Sri Aurobindo Society, A.P. and Telangana, was instrumental in motivating the people from various centres and guiding the Bhimavaram Centre in making the conference a memorable event. It is interesting that all the guests coming from distances were accommodated in various guest houses and hotels, and the conference venue was offered free by the active participation of the people of Bhimavaram. This confirmed the commitment and opening the place and its people have towards Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.
