Workshops on Mantra Yoga and the Upanishads at Coimbatore Branch

A workshop on Mantra Yoga, titled ‘Power of Mantra and Ways to Practice Mantra Yoga’ was organized on June 10th, 2016. This workshop explained the nature of mind, significance of Mantra, power of Mantra and how to practice Mantrayoga. On June 11th & 12th, 2016, another workshop on Upanishads—‘Isopanishad & Kenopanishad’ was conducted by Dr. Sampadanada Mishra, Director, Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Indian Culture (SAFIC) was organized at the Coimbatore Branch of Sri Aurobindo Society. A total of 31 persons attended the workshop on Mantra Yoga and 24 persons attended the workshop on Upanishads. The participants were a mixture of our members and general public. 

Camp on Isha Upanishad at Puducherry

Sri Aurobindo Center for Advanced Research (SACAR), Puducherry, held a camp on ‘Realisations of the Rishis: Isha Upanishad and The Life Divine’ from June 16th to 19th, 2016. Dr. Sampadanada Mishra, Director, SAFIC, conducted five sessions at the camp, which included the following:

Introduction to Isha Upanishad
Devbhasa Sanskrit
Textual Analysis of Isha Upanishad—3 sessions

He also participated in the group discussions on Isha Upanishad, adding to the knowledge base and comprehension of our great Indian treatise.
