Prema Nirjharini—Music Programme
WHEN Mar 1, 2016
WHERE Society House, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry

On March 1, 2016, SAFIC organized a musical evening, titled ‘Prema Nirjharani’, an offering at the feet of the Mother to commemorate the Supramental Manifestation Day. The programme was held at the Society Hall, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry, and was attended by about 40 people. Four of the six artistes who performed are affiliated to the Temple of Fine Arts, Coimbatore—a cultural and service-oriented, non-profit organization. Augustine Paul on the tabla, S. M. Anand and Vedashruti Radhakrishnan on the sitar and Anusha K. Gayathri gave a series of vocal and instrumental performances.

Of the other two artistes, Nalini Vitthobane is a singer belonging to Puducherry while Andréanne Laframboise is an independent travelling artiste and sound healer. The programme started at 4:30 pm with an offering by S. M. Anand on the sitar. The 1.5-hour-long beautiful musical programme that ensued was a mixture of Indian instrumental music and vocal offerings in various ragas and tala.
At the end of the programme, the artistes were thanked on behalf of the organizers and audience for their wonderful musical rendering and each of them received prasadam as a blessing from Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.
