A seminar on ‘The Significance of Indian Civilization in Contemporary Times' was conducted on February 5, 2016, at S.M.B.T.A.V & S.N. Degree College, Veeravasaram by Sri Aurobindo Society, Bhimavaram Centre. It is a government-aided college imparting standard education to rural and semi-urban students. Dr. Palla Venkateswara Rao and Dr. M.B.V. Sankar representing the AuroYouth, an initiative of Sri Aurobindo Society, conducted the seminar on the invitation of the principal and staff of the college. The talk was based on the life and work of Sri Aurobindo, and the guidance it offers in building a modern India and modern world with the ancient civilization as its basis. Nearly 60 students participated in the seminar.

Two health camps including a free Cervical Cancer Screening & Consultation Camp and Blood Donation Camp were held at Sri Aurobindo Bhavan, Noida. The Camps were jointly held by Sri Aurobindo Society, Noida Branch; Kulshrestha Cancer Care Charitable Trust; and Institute of Cytology & Preventive Oncology (a Government of India cancer research institute). A total of 72 people availed the benefit of the Camps.

On the eve of the Mother’s Birthday, a musical offering (bhajans) by Dr. Mukesh and Shri Deepak Srivastava was held at Sri Aurobindo Bhavan. The programme started with the Mother’s prayer and was attended by about 50 devotees & their families.
Sunday, 21st February, 2016
The 138th Birth Anniversary of the Mother was celebrated by Noida Branch on Sunday, February 21, 2016. On this auspicious occasion, Sri Aurobindo Bhavan was decorated with flowers all around it. Also, symbols of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother made with flowers were displayed. Collective meditation was held which was attended by devotees and their families followed by distribution of prasad and Darshan Day message cards to all present on the occasion.
February 25–26, 2016
A two-day National Conference was held, titled ‘Spiritual Wisdom and Holistic World Order’ at India International Centre in New Delhi, under the Chairmanship of Justice D. S. Tewatia. The Conference was jointly held by Sri Aurobindo Society, Noida Branch; Chinmay Mission, CPS International and New World Movement.
At the inaugural session on February 25, 2016; Shri Arun Naik spoke on the need of a holistic world order and emphasized on the reason why only a solution based on spiritual wisdom can bring the world out of the present crises. During the two days from time to time, he also highlighted the spiritual philosophy of Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo and the core areas of activities of SAS, an aspect which was appreciated by all. The first day of the Conference had Dr. Karan Singh as the chief guest. The chief guest on the second day was Shri Raghuvir Singh, ex-ruler of Sirohi.
On behalf of SAS, each participant was given a set of the five books: (a) Designing a New Social Order, (b) Sri Aurobindo & His Purna Yoga, (c) Aadhyatimikta: Ek Parichay, (d) Sri Arvind ki Manavta Ko Den and (e) Bharat Ki Niyati.

Programme of Yogasan & Pranayam for one hour daily from Monday to Saturday is being held by Yogacharya Gopal Singh Kathayat at Sri Aurobindo Bhavan, Noida.
On February 27 and 28, a two-day intensive study camp on Upanishads was conducted at Sri Aurobindo Society, Gurgaon branch. For these two days, Kenopanishad and Sri Aravindopanishad were chosen for the purpose of intense study. Around 35 people participated in this study camp. Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, Director, Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Indian Culture (SAFIC), coordinated this Camp for the second consecutive year.
