Retreat on MANAGING STRESS THROUGH INNER POISE
WHEN Jul 25–26, 2015
WHERE picturesque resort in Kajiranga, Assam

Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Integral Management (SAFIM), an initiative of Sri Aurobindo Society, facilitated a workshop, ‘Managing Stress through Inner Poise’ on July 25–26, 2015. This workshop was organized as a retreat by Oil India Ltd for its Divisional Heads and General Managers at a picturesque resort in Kajiranga, Assam. The Executive Director of Oil India, Mr. S. N. Singh, also participated in the programme. The spouses of the Oil India participants were also engaged in selective sessions of the workshop.

With the objective of providing insights into the underlying causes of stress and anxiety, the experiential workshop gave the participants guidelines and tools to help them be permanently cleansed of these root anomalies and their effects in their persons and lives. The process aims to set them on to a path of stress-free living by establishing a sustained state of peace in the mind and equanimity in the emotions, thereby allowing the inner faculties and potential to unfold unhindered, leading to happier and more fulfilling and meaningful lives.

The natural ambience of the venue along with the deeply experiential and reflective exercises involving the participation of all the planes of the self—body, mind, emotions and spirit—enabled the participants to create the foundation of an environment of balance and calm within their inner selves that will help them remain unaffected and positive in the midst of stress-inducing circumstances.

Professor Saikat Sen, Director of SAFIM, facilitated the programme on the behalf of SAFIM.

Feedback:

I liked most the approach of the teacher. Duration of the programme should be longer to imbibe yoga and meditation. I would like to recommend this workshop to especially young entrants/recruits.

Really we all have received a wonderful experience during the course. The ideas which are universal in nature, you expressed the reason & rationality behind the thought in such way, with the example and case study was a wonderful experience. I am thankful to you and your organization for awaking the mass for stress free environment in the society.  This is the requirement of the time & space.

I liked most how to remove all your tensions through the technique of Yoga Nidra. This programme should also be extended to middle-order executives.
