Professor Saikat Sen, Director, Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Integral Management (SAFIM) was invited as a resource person and a guest speaker at the University Grants Commission (UGC) National Seminar, titled ‘Sri Aurobindo—Revolutionary and Yogi’, organized by Savitri Girls College, Kolkata, in association with other colleges and institutions on May 14 and 15, 2015. The (UGC) of India is a statutory body set up by the Indian Union government and is charged with coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of higher education. It provides recognition to universities in India, and disburses funds to such recognized universities and colleges.
Professor Sen delivered guest lecture in the second technical session where he talk about different aspects of Sri Aurobindo’s life and his teachings. He also discussed the concept of Integral Yoga and Integral Education to the audience.
He was also the chairperson at the third technical session where professors of various colleges of Kolkata presented their research papers. Professor Sen encouraged the presenters to carry out further research in their respected areas.
