Dhaturahasya: A Workshop on Unfolding the Secret of Root-Sounds in Sanskrit

“Dhaturahasya: Unfolding the Secret of Root-Sounds in Sanskrit” is a four-day workshop to be conducted by SAFIC from June 14 to 17, 2017, at the Society House, Sri Aurobindo Society, in Puducherry. The workshop aims at introducing the concept of root-sounds, seed-sounds and their specific properties, mechanism of derivation of words from root-sounds, principles of conjugating the verbal roots, among other related topics.

Theatre Arts in Integral Education – Camp on Theatre Arts Integrated Approach to Integral Education

Sri Aurobindo Society is conducting a seven-day residential Camp on Theatre Arts in Integral Education. The camp is for Teachers, School Principals, Administrators, Trustees and Parents caring for children in the age group of 3–12 years (Pre-Primary and Primary level) and will start on June 1 and will go on until June 7, 2017. It will be held at the Society House in Puducherry.

Two-day Sanskrit Workshop – Level – I

A ‘Two-Day Sanskrit Workshop – Level-I’ was organized under the SAFIC, Puducherry, banner on April 15 and 16, 2017, at ‘Sri Aurobindo Bhavan’, Sri Aurobindo Society (Hyderabad Branch), Musheerabad, Hyderabad (Telangana), India. The Workshop, conducted by Dr. Y.N. Rao, a renowned Linguist, was attended by 16 participants.

AuroYouth has been conducting nationwide day-long youth camps. A one-day camp for 22 youths was organized by the Konnagar Branch of Sri Aurobindo Society on February 17, 2017, on the auspicious day of foundation of the Branch.

SIGNIFICANT DATES

  • Darshan Days

    On these days, there is a collective meditation in the Ashram at 6 am. People can visit Sri Aurobindo's room on all the Darshan days and the Mother's room on every 21 February.

    Besides the mentioned Darshan Days, visit to the Mother’s room is allowed on 17 November and visit to Sri Aurobindo’s room is allowed on 5 December.

  • 1st January
    There is a collective meditation at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in the morning at 6 am along with music specially composed for this occasion.
