Transcending Education – A Theatre Arts in Integral Education Festival

On 27 and 28 October, 2017, ‘Transcending Education’ – a Festival on Theatre Arts Integrated Approach to Learning was held at Sharanam, the green amphitheatre of Sri Aurobindo Society in Puducherry. More than 100 government school principals and teachers in Puducherry attended the festival in which 126 primary school children and 18 master resource facilitators participated.

Sri Aurobindo Society has several branches and affiliated centres in India and abroad, engaged in a vast array of activities. In October 2017, some of the activities carried out in a couple of our U.P. branches included a musical offering, a talk and a free medical camp for 700 patients among other activities.

Rainbow Dreams – All India Children’s Camp

Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry, organized an All India Children’s Camp – ‘Rainbow Dreams’ – from 2 to 9 October, 2017, at its Society Hall in Puducherry. The camp, in which 24 children between the ages 7 and 12 from all across India participated, was coordinated by Sushanto, Kiran and Rathi.

SIGNIFICANT DATES

  • Darshan Days

    On these days, there is a collective meditation in the Ashram at 6 am. People can visit Sri Aurobindo's room on all the Darshan days and the Mother's room on every 21 February.

    Besides the mentioned Darshan Days, visit to the Mother’s room is allowed on 17 November and visit to Sri Aurobindo’s room is allowed on 5 December.

  • 1st January
    There is a collective meditation at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in the morning at 6 am along with music specially composed for this occasion.
