Integral Rural Development - SARVAM

‘Money Matters’—SARVAM Digital and Financial Literacy Training Programme

SARVAM is organizing a Digital and Financial Literacy Programme called ‘Money Matters’ for three batches of 40 women each on July 11–12, 14, 18–19 and 21, 2017. The programme, conducted in association with L&T Infrastructure Finance Company Limited, instilled numerous practical ideas, knowledge and confidence in all the participants to be shared with the people in their villages.

Month-long Children’s Theatre Workshop in Rudrapur, Uttrakhand

From June 30 to July 4, 2017, Sri Aurobindo Society, Rudrapur, organized a month-long theatre education workshop for children. The workshop culminated in a play ‘The Biggest Gift’ performed by 35 children which was watched by around 600 people. The 90-minute play was held at the Jaycees Public School auditorium in Rudrapur.

SANJEEVAN Painting Workshop at Government School

SANJEEVAN (an initiative of Sri Aurobindo Society) offers palliative care to thousands of patients in and around Puducherry. On May 5, 8, 10 & 11, 2017, a painting workshop was conducted at a government school by the volunteers and coordinators of SANJEEVAN to raise awareness for this noble cause.

Painting Workshops by SANJEEVAN

Various painting workshops was conducted for the volunteers and relatives of patients under the care of SANJEEVAN, on May 6 & 7; May 18 & 29, 2017; and May 20, 22 & 23, 2017, at villages Community Halls of Villages Vanakulam, Arachikuppam, and Athigapattu, Puducherry, as a part of the palliative care for terminally ill and chronically bed-ridden.

SIGNIFICANT DATES

  • Darshan Days

    On these days, there is a collective meditation in the Ashram at 6 am. People can visit Sri Aurobindo's room on all the Darshan days and the Mother's room on every 21 February.

    Besides the mentioned Darshan Days, visit to the Mother’s room is allowed on 17 November and visit to Sri Aurobindo’s room is allowed on 5 December.

  • 1st January
    There is a collective meditation at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in the morning at 6 am along with music specially composed for this occasion.
